We are fortunate to have an exceptional, loving and experienced staff! In addition, all employees stay current with CPR/First Aid training and it is mandatory that they clear a background check and have exceptional references.
Lindsey Eklund, Director
Woodinville Whiz Kids was birthed from a God-size vision Lindsey had to connect with, support and encourage students and their families in the Northshore school district and particularly in the Woodinville community. Lindsey brings to Woodinville Whiz Kids ten years of education and leadership experience with children in churches and schools. She has a heart to meet needs in the community, and to see every child receive quality, affordable, after-school support whether it be at home or within a program.
Betty Stipek, Program Supervisor
Betty joyfully greets our Whiz Kids as they enter our facility after school. She asks the children about their day and the many things that have happened. She delights in knowing each child personally and learning about what is important to them. She is also the face the children see at the check-in desk every Sunday when they come to worship. When she isn't with us during the week, she can be found teaching dance at a local Woodinville studio.
Susan Buckholz, Office Manager/Transportation
Susan is a parent of one of our students and joined us first as a volunteer. We were excited to welcome her on staff this summer, and we are excited to have her continue into the school year as our new office manager. She is known for her positive, upbeat personality and outlook on life, and is the smiling face our students meet each day after school on the bus.
Kevin Zhou, Intern
Kevin also started first as a volunteer learning how things work at Whiz Kids each Wednesday. He applied for the position of intern this summer and will continue with us into the school year. He is a Junior at Inglemoor High School.
