Volunteer

We love, love , LOVE our Woodinville Whiz Kids volunteers!  Our volunteers give time and talents each and every day making an investment in the lives of children in Woodinville.  Many of our volunteers are homework helpers, tutors, and reading partners.  Some also share some of their talents in art and music.  It's exciting to see how the gifts of teens and adults match up with the needs and interests of the students everyday.  We often wonder who is getting more joy in the process!

You can volunteer to be a part of something great, too! We will train you and encourage you as you tutor or reading partner to motivate each of the students participating in Woodinville Whiz Kids.

To get the process started, you'll want to fill out our application form and complete a background check form.
We'll schedule a time to meet and talk about ways you can make Whiz Kids even better with your talents, skills, and gifts.

Rosalie DuBrau, Reading Assessment
Mrs. Rosalie joined Woodinville Whiz Kids months before our doors to students opened and was instrumental in starting our Whiz Kid library.  She personally identified and categorized each book on the shelf and identifying the appropriate reading level for each child.  She partners with each child in their reading and assesses their skill level.  She strongly believes that reading and reading comprehension are the keys to success in life and is thrilled to assist each child's developing skills in this area.
